WeTrusty, takes user privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. WeTrusty uses the following permissions:
- App need camera permissions to scan QR code on the anti-counterfeiting tag.
1. Information we collect
We collect information to provide better services to all of our users – from figuring out basic function like which QR code you scan, to more things for further analysis of potential forged risks like where the location tags were scanned.We collect information in the following ways:
- WeTrusty doesn't collect any personal information, like phone number, E-mail or IMEI.
- Information we get from your use of our services:
o Device information
We collect mobile device information (Build.USER、Build.MODEL、Build.VERSION.RELEASE、Build.BRAND、Build.PRODUCT) for debugging.
o Location information
We collect the location where you scanned your tags. We only collect information when WeTrusty App is open. You can choose whether provide your location to us or not. This is for further analysis of potential forged risks.
2. How we use information we collect
We collect device information to provide better camera parameter settings or bug fixes. We collect tag scanning and location information, used to analyze the abnormal tag-query status (duplicated queries in cross-regions, abnormal number of queries), to provide users with further anti-counterfeiting warning protection.3. People have different privacy concerns. Our goal is to be clear about what information we collect, so that you can make meaningful choices about how it is used. For example, you can:- Choose whether provide your location to us or not.
4. Information we share
- For external processing
WeTrusty does not provide any information that contains the user's personal information. We may provide tag query records (tag ID, query time, query location) to the co-operative enterprise who own the tag that queried. The co-operative enterprises can do further analysis of potential forged risks for its own tags (products). Statistical reports may be disclosed publicly or provided to our co-operative enterprise.
5. Information security
- The information security is cooperated with Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd.
- We encrypt many of our services using SSL.
6. When this Privacy Policy applies
Our Privacy Policy applies to the Tag scan and query services offered by WeTrusty APP, but exclude services that have separate privacy policies that do not incorporate this Privacy Policy.Our Privacy Policy does not apply to services offered by other companies or individuals, including product information or sites that may be displayed to you in query results, sites that may include WeTrusty services, or other sites linked from our services.
Our Privacy Policy does not cover the information practices of other companies and organizations who advertise our services, and who may use cookies, pixel tags and other technologies to serve and offer relevant ads.
